With the new political year in England comes another official State Opening of Parliament for Her Majesty, The Queen who has attended such ceremonies every year since she ascended to the throne with the exception the openings of 1959 and 1963 when Her Majesty was expecting Princes Andrew and Edward respectively.
This year, however, will have a small difference than those openings of recent years as The Queen will not only be accompanied by Prince Philip but also the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall.
The official ceremony will take place on the 8th of May and will be broadcast live on BBC Television. Members of the public will also be able to see The Queen, Prince Philip and Duke and Duchess of Cornwall as they make their way to and from the Palace of Westminster.
