Second child and only daughter of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II and The Duke of Edinburgh The Princess Royal was baptised Anne Elizabeth Alice Louise on October 21 1950 at Buckingham Palace.

The title The Princess Royal was given to her in 1987 by The Queen before which she was known as Princess Anne.

Once finished school from the age of 18, The Princess Royal has been engaging in public events alone.

The Princess Royal works for the Save the Children Fund and has been it’s president since 1970 and has been all over the world for the group.

The Princess Royal has also been very successful in the horse riding world with regular entry to Horse of the Year at Wembley and the Badminton Horse Trials. In September of 1971 she won the individual European Three-Day Event at Burghley.
