Yesterday, the BBC reported that a portrait of Her Majesty, The Queen on display at Westminster Abbey had been defaced by a vandal.
The portrait in question was a beautiful and intricate work on canvas by artist Ralph Heimans went on display in the Chapter House of Westminster Abbey in May and was the only official portrait of The Queen commissioned in her Diamond Jubilee year.
The BBC has reported that the artist is aware of the defacing but is not commenting further at this stage.

Tim Haries, 41, from Doncaster, South Yorkshire, will appear in custody at City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
The electrician is charged with criminal damage over £5,000.
